Emission Testing & Research Department was divided into two parts, light-duty emission and heavy-duty emission.

Light-duty emission laboratory was founded in 1997 which was one of the earliest light duty vehicle emission testing laboratories in China. The total investment of this laboratory has been over 200 million and it occupies 20,000 m2. Light-duty emission laboratory mainly conducts test and certification service for light-duty vehicle emission system and vehicle calibration and development business under high-altitude environment.

Heavy-duty Emission laboratory mainly undertakes testing certification for heavy-duty vehicle’s performance, emission, durability and oil-consumption and it can also provide oil-saving and emission reduction evaluation and development service for heavy-duty vehicle. Meanwhile, this laboratory is equipped with vehicle-carried fuel consumption meter and PMES that can carry out heavy duty vehicle oil consumption and emission test in proving ground and real road.
